Les Savitch

Leslie Savitch has been in the housing business as a builder, a developer, consultant and speaker for over 30 years. An active member of the National Association of Home Builders, he attends most annual meetings of the organization and often is asked to speak on various topical subjects. Leslie and wife Gabrielle bought Varsity Homes in 2003, changed the name to Varsity Development, and introduced several brands of homes: Oasis Custom Homes- a traditional, craftsman-like series of one and two-story homes; Siena Courtyard Homes- a series of upscale, stucco-clad, Mediterranean style homes; and Country Village Homes, a series of affordable, first-time buyer homes. He’s been active in Eastern Washington, building in Walla Walla, Moses Lake, Connell and throughout Tri-Cities, building 50-80 pre-solds as well as spec homes every year. Most years for 15 years, Varsity has participated in the Parade of Homes as it introduced innovative new floorplans, one year featuring a return to the mid-century modern style of housing. “We have worked hard to differentiate our homes from the others with such things as in-house consulting on current interiors trends for our buyers, a largely in-house tile setter; floorplans from renowned designers, architects and interior designers; and “package” pricing that makes the finished product an excellent value,” he said.

“Another feature that home buyers appreciate is that I, as a builder, am available to answer questions, and make suggestions. Because of the number of years in this business and working with so many varied households, people find my ideas pretty relevant.”

Leslie grew up in western Washington, attended Western Washington University, with a major in economics and finance and took both masters courses and housing industry courses to keep current on both trends and compliance. He counseled other west coast home building companies and industrial-commercial developers on marketing and business development prior to buying Varsity in 2013. Today he owns a number of rental properties, some development properties, and some spec homes and consults with new home buyers.

Lexi Savitch

After getting her bachelor’s degree in Business at The University of Montana, Lexi worked many years in the insurance industry as an underwriter and then was a producer for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company where she found great personal pleasure as well as professional acclaim from helping families map-out their financial futures.  From the time she and her family moved to Washington State she was working for Varsity Development, LLC and Oasis Custom Homes and was a neighborhood manager in both Southridge in Kennewick and Badger Mountain South in Richland.  Today she works as a Realtor that specializes in helping buyers who are interested in New Construction (pre-sales and finished). Often times, buyers appreciate an agent that has no affiliation with the builder to be their agent to attend meetings and make sure their vision comes to life. There are a lot of builders in the Tri-Cities and each has unique traits, processes, upgrade packages and locations -it can make one’s head spin.  Lexi helps buyers from the beginning research stages until the keys are handed over and has experience working with many builders around town.
